My thanks to Marketcircle's Daylite for sponsoring MacSparky this week. If you are running a business, Daylite–an app that’s been actively developed since 1999–is the answer to managing calandars, tasks, customers, sales opportunities, projects, and all the other little digital details to keep things in motion. They’ve got versions for the Mac and iOS so you can manage all this data from any Apple device.

Most recently, they’ve released version 6 which adds several new features:

Cloud Sync

Daylite now lets you choose between managing your data on your own server or using their cloud sync service. Either way, you still get the native app experience.

Better Task Management

Daylite's task management tools got a nice upgrade with an improved edit mode.

Easier Scheduling

There’s now a color-coded year view and a mini-calendar so you check your calendar from anywhere. You can even drop appointments and tasks directly onto the mini calendar.

iPhone and iPad Filtering

When you’re on the go, you want the ability to control the data in front of you. iOS filters help you manage that with categories and keywords. There are even more available filters depending on the type of data you’re working with. You can filter contacts, for instance, by first name or last name.

A lot of work went into Daylite version 6 and it’s definitely worth checking out.
